Ingredients

  1. For the Muffins:
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
    • 2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  2. For the Topping:
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Muffin Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease or line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together sour cream, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:
    • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Prepare Topping:

  6. Fill Muffin Cups & Add Topping:
