Sliced Baked Potatoes

4 medium potatoes

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

Optional: herbs like rosemary or thyme, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese


Preheat Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare Potatoes: Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry. You can peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on adds texture and nutrients.

Slice the Potatoes: Carefully slice the potatoes into thin slices, but not all the way through. You want the slices to stay connected at the bottom. A tip is to place chopsticks on either side of the potato while you slice to prevent cutting all the way through.

Season Potatoes: Place the sliced potatoes on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, ensuring it gets in between the slices. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings or herbs.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
