  1. 2 cups of cooked and shredded chicken
  2. 1 package (about 32 oz) of frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  3. 1 can (10.5 oz) of cream of chicken soup
  4. 1 cup of sour cream
  5. 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  6. 1 small onion, finely chopped
  7. 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  8. Salt and pepper to taste
  9. 1/2 cup of melted butter
  10. 1 cup of crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs for topping
